the silent earth hears
the scupltured voice of rain

how the tree grows
in exquisite joy
how it dances!
the chrisenthimum of heart

today i planted
a tree
in honor of the earth

my tree can make it green
someday.

i thank the earth
for the place i live
the water i drink
the sea i sail and swim
i thank the earth for
everything good that is
happening
